FREEBIES!! And some NEWS!

Hi all! First, the freebie! I posted some Brag Book Freebies on the SAS Blog! I created this album using the NEW June '09 SAS Mega, Me & My Dad! Come on by and pick them up!

Okay, now to tell you my news!! First, I was accepted onto the VICE Squad at Digi Scrap Addicts!! Whoohoo! I am now a Forum Moderator. I'm pretty new over there, so I'm still learning the ropes. And, it seems the other ladies get to the issues before I do, but hopefully I catch on soon & get my rear in gear! lol If you haven't been there yet, you're missing out on LOTS-O fun!! Those ladies really know how to make you laugh. There's never a dull moment!

Second order of business... I am now on Darlene Haughin's CT!! I was so honored & a bit surprised when Darlene asked me to join her team. Of course, I snatched up the offer very quickly. I love Darlene's designs and I got to play with one of her kits already. I picked One Spring Morning as my first kit to work with because the colors are just so wonderful! Darlene has a very classic style that fits my scrapping style so perfectly.

I combined this kit with The Details Template Set by AmyM Designs! I said it before and I'll say it again.... I LOVE AMY'S TEMPLATES!!! They are just so perfect and make gorgeous layouts in a snap! I am going to be very sad when June is over!

Customizing Your Blog Class!

Hello? Hello? Anyone out there? No? I didn't think any of you would be hanging around THIS long!! Geesh.... talk about a bad blogger! I win that hands down! LOL!

So, I signed up for Christy Haig's Customizing Your Blog class! YAY!! Maybe now I can have a pretty blog (like everyone else) to keep me motivated enough to post here more frequently! hehehe... Did I mention it was FREE?!!! :-)

The class is full for May, so you'll have to wait until next month to sign up, if you're interested! I highly recommend it! Christy's lessons are very detailed & easy to follow! Of course, I'm only on lesson 1, but I got major hopes that she can teach me how to make my blog stylin'! :-D

Well, I gotta skidaddle.... it's my daughter's 3 year Birthday today! Plans include the park, to climb around on the Monkey Bar thing-a-ma-jig, and then McDonald's for dinner! BIG treat for them (we don't have McDonald's very often!) CHEAP dinner for me! LOL! Have a fabulous day! :-)

SAS News & an AWARD!!!

Yippeeee! I got an award!! It's my very first one! It came from the lovely Diana (Amberpony Creates) and I'm just so happy she thought of me! She is a real sweetheart and if you haven't been to her blog yet, you must go see her beautiful layouts!! There's dogs & horses & her beautiful new grandaughter & of course, GEORGE! To those who participated in the Layout Design Challenge at SAS back in September, you already know who George is! To those who didn't.... it shall remain a mystery!! HAHAHAHA..... Okay, enough teasing, onto the award!

Photobucket

My task is to choose 5 others to pass the award onto, so here they are!

First up is Barbara (Cherish Collages), a.k.a. Digimom Designs! What can I say, I love Barbara! She's super sweet! Now that she's retired from Digi Designing, she's focused on her Collage business. And, WOW, she has some beautiful collage designs in her gallery! You should head on over and check them out!

Next is Tammara (Pixel Music Scraps) I just HAD to choose Tammara... she lives right down the street from me!! It's such a small, yet LARGE, world! Even though she lives so close, I met her online at SAS!!! LOL! Let me tell ya, her layouts are simply gorgeous! And right now she has some really cute freebies! Don't forget to check out her "Floozies" t-shirt designs! They're hysterical!

Next up is Lori from Enaideel Scraps (The Scrappy Times) Why? Because Lori is my HERO!!!! I have absolutely no idea how this woman manages to do everything she does! I am in total awe of her! I bow down to her Queenly Queenlyness!! (if any of you know about Jimmy Neutron, you know what I'm saying! LOL! ) Pop on over to their blog & check out the PB they did for the Heritage Challenge at SAS this month, sooooo cute!!!

Next is Sheri (Charlie'sNana) I had the pleasure of being on Barbara's CT with her, and she is so, so sweet!! And boy can she crank out some beautiful layouts!! She's very talented & her grandson is just adorable! She's always had such nice comments for me & I appreciate every single one!!

And last, but not least, is Charlene (ciocichar) She was also on Barbara's CT and equally as sweet!! I appreciate the time she took to go to EVERY single one of my galleries & post comments on my layouts!! She is also very talented & has some wonderful freebies on her blog!!

With that all said & done, onto the SAS-y news!! If you haven't picked up the SAS Newsletter yet, what the heck are you waiting for?!! LOL! Lots of news inside, including the New Jan '09 SAS Mega Kit, Sugar & Spice, and the introduction of the two newest SAS-y Ladies, Designs by Moo & Laitha! Another Freebie Wordart from Me! :)

Hello all you scrappers out there! I'm probably talking to myself, but that's nothing new! LOL! Well, now that DSD is officially over and all the events & excitement have died down, I seem to have a bunch of free time on my hands to get back to scrapping! Yay!

So, without further ado, I have a new layout to share with you and a free wordart!! I love to use wordart on my layouts, but most of the time I just can't find the quote or phrase I am looking for, so I just create my own! hehe... I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them! :)

Here is the preview of the wordart freebie

Photobucket

And a preview of the layout I made the wordart for

Photobucket
(click for credits)

You can download the wordart HERE I did this layout for the November Use Those Elements! Challenge at Stone Accents Studio. The challenge this month was to use wordart or journaling about what you are Thankful for! I, of course, am thankful for my children!! No, they do not hug each other all the time! You don't know how frustrating it was to even GET that picture of them! LOL! ahhhh, the joys of children! :P

I also wanted to tell you guys about a new site that just opened called Just Digi Layouts. This is an open forum/gallery and you can post links with your layouts! Not only can you post links, you can advertise your store, sales, new kits, freebies, blog posts, etc. It looks like a really great site to visit and keep informed of all the digi happenings out there! It just opened yesterday, so there isn't much there yet, but I'm sure the news will spread quickly and it will start filling up with digi goodness! So go check it out! :D

Well, that's it for me today... almost naptime for the kidlets, which means quiet time for scrapping!! Yippeee!!! LOL! Have a great day!! :)

Happy Halloween!!! And a Freebie! :)

Happy Halloween everyone!! I just love Halloween! I don't exactly know why, maybe because my Birthday is in 2 days! LOL! Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays, tucked in right under Christmas! I love to decorate for Halloween, with all the spooky scariness!! I also love pumpkins, I think they are the most adorable things! haha... And, of course, getting all decked out in your costumes is soooooo much fun!!! I don't get dressed up anymore, but I really enjoy reliving the excitement through my children! They are so excited to go Trick or Treating tonight! hehe...

Speaking of Trick or Treating, did you all get your goodies from the SAS-y Trick or Treat Blog Party yet?! NO?!!! Well, what the heck are you waiting for?!!!! The party started yesterday, and most of the designers who participated still have their goodies up and ready to snag!! Go.... Go NOW!!! lol (click on the image to bring you to the first blog, with a list of all the blog participants!)

Photobucket

And, if that's not enough, come party with the SAS-y Ladies at the first ever SAS-y Chat Celebration, to be held on Digi Scrapbooking Day, November 1!!! I hear there are going to be lots of freebies handed out all during the chat! :) The SAS-y Ladies really know how to celebrate!! So come celebrate with us, SAS-y Style!!

Photobucket
(click on image to go to the forum for more information!)

So if you've been eying some of those delicious goodies in the shop, now's the time to get them! I don't know if they are going to have another wonderful sale like this, so you don't want to miss it!

Okay, now that all that's out of the way (hehe) I have a little freebie for you all today! It's another wordart that I actually made last year for a layout I was working on... and then never finished the layout! ROFL!! I just found it while going through all of my gazillion DVD's, and thought it was the perfect finishing touch to my ATC I made for the October ATC Challenge at SAS!

Photobucket

And here's the ATC I made using the wordart:

This is my daughter, laying in the leaves! LOL! You can download the wordart HERE

I did this one for the Newsletter Challenge at SAS. This is a picture of me, my brother & my cousins Trick or Treating at my Grandmother's house back in the 80's!! Gotta love those plastic costumes & masks!! LOL! I am the one on the far right wearing the Wonder Woman Costume & my brother is up front as Mork!! ROFL!!! I used to love Mork & Mindy when I was younger! hahahahahahahaha.....

Okay folks, that's all from me for today! I have to get to the store to get some candy to hand out tonight and get the kids ready to go Trick or Treating themselves!! Have a safe & fun Halloween!! :)

Another Template Freebie!

Thank you guys for all the comments! You are the best! :)

The Stone Accents Studio Newsletter is out for this week and you can get it HERE! There are 5 exclusive NL freebies inside, plus links to several more!

I have a new Template Freebie for you today! I'm so glad I learned how to make templates, they're so much fun! I have a bunch in my stash, so stay tuned for more from me! :) Here's a preview of today's freebie... it's pretty basic, but has loads of potential!

Photobucket

And you can get this baby right HERE!! I would love to see someone actually use these things! lol So, if you've used one of the templates, let me see!! ;)

I have some new layouts to share with you, too! Yay!! I wish I had more time to do layouts, but you know how it is with two little kids... I barely get enough time to pee!! LOL! This first one I used Natural Woman by Digimom Designs and her Collage It! Basics Set 1. I just love her collage frames, makes scrapping so quick & easy!! I also used Atomic Cupcakes Transparency Action on the frame and I thought it gave it a really cool effect!

Photobucket
(click for credits)

I did this layout for the October Life's Musical Moments Challenge at SAS. We had to scrap a song that makes us think of fall, and I, of course, had to choose a children's song! haha! This is an adorable song from Noggin, called Falling For Fall, sung by Moose A. Moose! If you want to listen, go HERE!

And the next layout I want to show you was done with Digimom's newest kit, Guy Thing! I can't say it enough... I love this kit!! The colors are fantastic, and it's so grungy, with lots of masculine elements! And the chipboard alpha is awesome! Here, let's take a look, shall we?!! lol

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Just look at those papers, aren't they yummy?!! Here's the layout I did with this kit...

Photobucket
(click for credits)

I used this for the October Font Challenge at SAS. The font we had to use is called Amsterdam Graffiti, it's really cool! And I thought it went great with this layout!

Well, I think that's it for today! I'll be back soon with another template! Happy Saturday!! :)
